Was it the wrong place at the wrong time?
For those little hearts, little peeps
Gay and full of life this morning, but now
Frozen away into a lifeless sleep.
Was it destiny or a devil’s joke?
For those parental souls,
Dreams and ambitions of their child, now
Totally destroyed beyond console.
Bloodied as in a battlefield,
Massacred with no reason and no mercy
Many beautiful souls took flight today
Away from us in this act of inhumane larceny!
